On the 4th May 2023 Wroxham has elections for District and Parish Councils. If you are interested in standing as a Parish Councillor and would like more information on what is involved please contact Clare the Clerk or find more information here:
Wroxham Parish Council
We are an 11 seat Council. All current Councillors are stood down at the end of this election term. We currently have 7 Councillors and 4 have announced that they will not be standing at the May elections. 4 Councillors is a minimum to be quorate and therefore with only 3 possible Councillors the Council would not be quorate. In these circumstances we would go into a kind of "special measures" situation where the District Council would step in. Hopefully some new faces will step forward and apply to be Councillors. The election process will be run by Broadland District Council. There would only have a formal election if more than 11 people in total stand.
